Interesting feedback from my last post about Jamaal Tinsley. Perhaps the best move the Pacers can do is to allow Rasho's contract to expire, giving us more liquidity to resign Granger and a possible free agent. I was really hoping that we would have traded to get Kirk Hinrich for whatever combination of players, but we got TJ, who is a decent player, but doesn't fully satisfy my taste. I believe we will be in the playoffs this year, perhaps as a 6 seed, which is awesome considering where we've been the past couple of years. I completely agree with your starting lineup, although B.Rush will rise in minutes alternating between the 2 and the 3 as the season progresses. As i rethink my position on Dunleavy, I am unable to attent home games (I live in Brooklyn, NY), but i know he is a hit with the home fans, so to trade him will be foolish from a marketing standpoint, even if we can get a good player or two in return. I think Roy Hibbert will see more time than you think, because of the hype he got when acquiring him. I hardly watch NCAA ball, but at 7-2, 280+, he should be able to contribute mightily to this team, possibly giving Jeff Foster a run for his starting job. You may be laughing, as i am sure you are, but ironically, I believe Roy will be a pleasant surprise, seeing how David Harrison gave us nothing for his services. Marquis may see little time this year, because of Rush, and if i know Jim O'Brian, Jarrett will see significant time at the 2-guard, which i think is a mistake. This should easily be a ten-man rotation, with B.Rush playing the 2 and the 3, while Daniels plays the 2 primarily. Daniels cannot perform well playing any other spot. As long as the minutes are divided fairly based on talent, we should see very few injuries, which will contribute to more wins and happy fans. About Jamaal Tinsley, I have no clue who wants him, but i am sure Larry is getting calls about him. While i don't have a scenario surrounding his trade, we obviously need a PF, and i've been hearing rumors about a possible trade for Charlie Vilanueva, which i will refrain from giving an opinion only because I do not know his game, but positionally what i think we need is another SF with a scorer's mentality, only because I believe Shawne and Marquis will see little to no playing time. Coach will give too much time to Granger, Dunleavy, TJ, DIENER?!, and Jarrett for any of the other players to make an impact. Most likely, Larry will persue a PF in the next off-season, unless somebody gets desperate around the trading deadline and makes a trade(Harrington's trird try in Indiana?, we never should have traded him in the first place.) Hopefully, Coach gives out a fair amount of minutes to the players (Granted Danny and Dunleavy are the stars of the team, but Daniels will produce if given consistent minutes at the 2), and balanced scoring will be emphasised with Granger topping the list. Until Tinsley is traded, or the broadcast of the next podcast, I am out.
