Boston & Atlanta tied??!! Was Lottery really the way to go?

The Pacers needed to be sent to the Lottery to they make the long and winding road of rebuilding a little shorter. They need a new face, a new talent, a new image. That’s why the Lottery is best. One main reason why I wanted them to be in the lottery is because of them getting swept by the Celtics in the 1st round.

Then Atlanta goes to tie up the seires 2-2 after four games making it one of the more competitive series in the playoffs. At first look, it might seem that an opportunity was lost, which it very well could have been. But i do not think the Pacers would be able to do what Atlanta is doing. Atlanta has been giving the Celtics problems with their athleticism and depth, as well as the coming out party for Josh Smith. The Pacers do not have the depth the Hawks do. They do not have nearly as much athleticism as the Hawks. Those two things make me realize the Lottery was the way to go for this team. I still firmly believe the Pacers would have been swept in the first round or maybe made it into a 5 game series. Either way, the lottery is the better choice.
